Home-Start Worldwide is organizing its triennial Conference in Tokyo in close collaboration with Home-Start Japan.
The conference will take place between 7-10 of November 2017 with a central theme “Investing Children” and with special focus on how we support parents to ensure a brighter future for their children.
The programme combines plenary sessions and workshops with suggestionss on adapting services, from new methods in early child literacy and learning, healthy child development or structured playing with toys to a review of volunteer training. Participants will learn and exchange views on fundraising strategies and how to build the charity’s profile. Japan will share their experience of working in partnerships, on national development, on expectant mothers and much more.
The conference will include an one-day Symposium, opened to a wide Japanese audience of around 300 people and a two-day training session attended only by Home-Start people from Japan and other countries. Visits of international participants to Home-Start Japan schemes will take place during the fourth day of the conference.
The conference is expected to raise the profile of Home-Start Japan nationally and improve the skills and capacity of Home-Start people worldwide.
