Ways to get involved

Just like our members, our work is shaped by the connections and collaborations we build.

Organisations partner with us on projects, specialists share their expertise, and individuals take on volunteering roles – and these collaborations are what make our work possible.
Become a partner

We have built relationships with universities, NGOs, corporates and a host of other external partners – some joining us for specific projects, and others for many years.

In return, our partners see the tangible impact of their efforts. What we do is not often visible to the world, but it matters because it is personal and it is direct. As a partner, you see instantly that an idea, a tool, a connection, has changed the course of someone’s day. Has been the catalyst for a new idea, a new form of support, a new spark of hope.

When you join our small community, you make a big difference.

Lend the network your expertise

We hold together a close-knit community that sits across countries and continents. Our members speak different languages in different time zones. Some have sophisticated databases and social media buzz. Others use dated technology on an unreliable connection. Our members juggle with politics, economics, culture and religion, shifting populations and changing expectations of what it even means to be a parent.

And we keep hold of it all. We find the right programmes, the right messages, the most practical and meaningful help we can offer, but there is so much more we can do.

It can take a new perspective or set of expertise to find the solution to a challenge. You could hold the answers that we need.

Take on a volunteering role

We don’t have a physical office, nor do we keep to the usual 9 to 5. That’s because, just like our members, much of our work is delivered by volunteers.

Whether you commit to a few hours a week or take up a shorter term project, volunteers are valued and vital to everything we do.

We have super-flexible roles available to support our day-to-day work, from administration to social media and web support. We’d also love volunteers who can fundraise, deliver training, or look after our policies and processes.

Get back into work

Most of our short-term volunteers have young children and are transitioning back into work after parental leave. They have strong professional skills, but lack confidence or recent work experience, so volunteering with us creates a pathway back into employment.

They come to us with all they have gained and overcome as the parents of young children, and they use their professional expertise to help us pay it forward – so that our members can help other families around the world.

We are proud to support parents as they return to work, and to hold true to our supportive and pragmatic approach to the wellbeing of our team.
