A member of the Home-Start Worldwide network since 2020, Home-Start Vlaanderen operates in 11 cities and municipalities across Flanders and Brussels. The organisation works to expand accessible and preventive family support by collaborating with local governments to address child poverty and advance sustainable development goals, such as reducing inequality and fostering resilient communities.

The organisation’s primary focus is building resilience in vulnerable families. Trained volunteers visit families weekly, providing social and educational support. They help parents strengthen their social networks and address everyday parenting challenges. This consistent presence is designed to enhance parental skills and improve children’s welfare.
